North Fork Clark Creek Crossing

Project Summary

In 1998 it was determined that an unsound bridge crossing on Clark Creek at the mouth of North Fork Clark Creek needed replacement. Union County only had funding to replace the bridge with a culvert pipe, which would have been detrimental to year-round fish passage for summer steelhead and resident rainbow trout. This project provided additional funding to replace the bridge with a structure designed to pass fish year-round, and to reduce sediment and bedload inputs to Clark Creek during high flows.

Project Actions

  • Replace unsound bridge with a 24’ wide by 24’ long bridge.

Project Objectives

  • Maintain year-round fish passage for summer steelhead and resident rainbow trout.
  • Reduce sediment entering Clark Creek.
